Arkansas Trip

We went to visit Uncle Ryan, Aunt Jennifer, Taylor, and Aiden in Arkansas. This was Darby and Scout's first LONG trip, and they did very well!

We went to the famous splash park, where Darby and Scout both conquered different things. Darby has started to conquer swimming, and Scout has conquered her fear of the pool.

Then we had major playtime at the house when we gave the kiddos their surprises! Of course, Darby wanted to play with Scout's fairy wand. Sheesh...

Ryan gave us a tour of his campus, and Aunt Jennifer took some great photos of the kids. We had a blast running around and playing.

Staying Cool

Darby loved the water. I try to take him to the pool as often as I can, but as most of you are well aware-it almost gets too HOT!

Therefore, we have found other creative ways to allow Darby to have fun with water, while we sit in the shade. He only needs his underwear and a water hose to be perfectly content. I'm sure we look strange to those driving through the neighborhood looking at homes for sale, but Darby could care less-as he is having the time of his life.

Sometimes Darby gets a little too excited, and he likes to spray his sister down with water. In his defense, he is just trying to cool her off. None the less, she gets slightly aggravated.

Independence Weekend

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. The weekend started with Angie and I taking the kids to lunch and a movie. That is right, we took 10 children to see a film. They were all little angles.

Then we decided we needed some major pool time with the Dortch family. Darby and Scout had a blast. Scout decided she liked the pool without her panda floating device.

Later, Darby helped me make brownies to take to our picnic. He was more interested in licking the bowl.

We spent the 4th of July at Mike and Ana's house for a friendly picnic. The kids really enjoyed themselves.
